South Coquina Beach is a gorgeous area located at the bottom of Anna Maria Island. While the 2024 hurricane season has changed the landscape of the area, it still remains beautiful. The historical jetty, palm trees, bridge, pathway, and beautiful blue water make it a picturesque choice for your vacation memories. Click on the picture to enlarge.
Anna Maria Island is a true paradise, boasting pristine white sand beaches, swaying palm trees, and stunning teal-blue waters. After exploring the island’s beauty, I’ve found two exceptional locations that offer the ideal settings for unforgettable portraits.
These spots provide a diverse range of beachscapes, ensuring a variety of backdrops and unique looks for your photos. Browse through the gallery below to explore these incredible locations and envision your perfect portrait session.
Beer Can Island, a hidden gem that’s technically not an island, is located at the northern tip of Longboat Key, just a short drive over the bridge from the southern end of Anna Maria Island. This serene location features an enchanting mix of trees, rocks, and driftwood adorned with shells left by previous visitors.
With its natural beauty and quieter atmosphere, Beer Can Island offers a one-of-a-kind backdrop for stunning photos. However, please note that parking is limited, and reaching the driftwood area requires a 10-minute walk, making it less ideal for those with mobility challenges.
